York Dental Specialists welcomes patients both through referral from their general dentist and directly (self-referral). If your general dentist has recommended specialist care, we can coordinate directly with them.
We accept referrals from general dentists across York Region. Dentists may fax referrals to (905) 763-8831 or email info@yorkdentalspecialists.com.
We work with most major dental insurance providers in Ontario. Our team will help you maximize your coverage and provide itemized receipts for claims.
We direct bill most major insurers. Please bring your insurance card to your first appointment. We encourage you to confirm your coverage before your visit.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Interac debit, and cash. Payment is due at the time of service for any amount not covered by insurance.
York Dental Specialists collects and protects your personal health information in accordance with Ontario's Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA). Your information is never shared without your consent except as required by law.
No referral is required, although many patients come to us through their general dentist. You are welcome to call us directly to book a consultation.
Call our office at (905) 763-8833 during office hours. For after-hours dental emergencies, we recommend calling a hospital emergency department if you have signs of spreading infection, severe swelling, or difficulty swallowing or breathing.
Consultation appointments are typically 60–90 minutes. This includes a review of your dental history, examination, x-rays, and discussion of your treatment options.
We treat patients of all ages. Pediatric patients requiring specialist dental care are welcome. Please mention the patient's age when booking.
