Dr. Steven Leung was born in Toronto and completed both his dental (DDS) and medical (MD) degrees at Case Western Reserve University. He then underwent a surgical internship at the University of Pennsylvania and pursued specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Case Western Reserve.

Learn more →An oral and maxillofacial surgeon (OMS) has completed 4–6 years of additional surgical residency training beyond dental school, often including a medical degree. This allows them to manage complex cases, administer IV sedation and general anesthesia, and perform reconstructive jaw surgery.
We offer local anesthesia, nitrous oxide, and IV sedation. Most patients prefer IV sedation for wisdom tooth removal, which means you will be relaxed and have little to no memory of the procedure.
Most patients feel significantly better within 3–5 days. We recommend soft foods and rest for the first 48 hours. Dr. Leung will provide detailed post-operative instructions.
